Yuvraj Singh supports Rohit Sharma to lead India to T20 WC
Yuvraj Singh, the esteemed brand ambassador for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, has firmly voiced his support for his long-standing “closest friend” Rohit Sharma, expressing his confidence in Sharma’s capabilities to steer India towards triumph in the forthcoming tournament in the United States and West Indies. Recognized for his dynamic batting prowess and game-changing displays, the ex-cricketer is resolute in his belief that Rohit’s exceptional leadership attributes render him the perfect candidate to lead the Indian team to resounding success.
Yuvraj Singh, who is currently in the United States to promote the T20 World Cup and has recently been to the Miami Formula One Grand Prix, was instrumental in India’s victories in both the T20I World Cup in 2007 and the ODI World Cup in 2011. It is worth mentioning that he was honoured with the prestigious ‘Player of the Tournament’ award in the 2011 ODI World Cup, where India emerged as the champion, led by the exceptional leadership of MS Dhoni.

And Rohit is the perfect candidate,” shared Yuvraj. “He led the team when we faced defeat in the 50-over World Cup final (in 2023). As a captain, he’s secured five IPL trophies. I genuinely think that India needs a leader like him.”
